Payments can be made by cash or cheque at the municipal office. Payments can be also be made through Northern Credit Union and CIBC (online and by telephone banking). Please see financial institution for instruction and set up.
For your convenience we accept post-dated payments (cheques) please speak to the Municipal Office to make arrangements.
Municipal property taxes are calculated on assessed property values determined by Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). If you do not agree with your assessment follow these steps:
- Contact MPAC to discuss your concerns with MPAC.
- File a Request for Reconsideration (RfR) if you feel your assessed value or property classification is not correct MPAC will review it free of charge.
- File an Appeal with the Assessment Review Board (ARB). You may also choose to file an appeal with the ARB, an independent tribunal of the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General.

Property tax billing dates:
Interim tax bills are due March 31 of each year.
Final tax bills are due by August 31 of each year.
